Philip Reid has long experience of boat handling and ownership having cut his teeth crewing in the Cape to Rio races, later enjoying many Admiral’s Cup series and finally settling for more leisurely cruising. More importantly, he has successfully started, developed and sold a variety of SMEs and has been Chairman of some 6 AIM or Plus Markets companies. He is also Chairman of Capital Plus Partners, the financial adviser to Nautical ID International.
Sam Reid has had a multifaceted career within financial services and sales, working across recruitment, banking, insurance, and investment management. Sam focuses on new business development where he has enjoyed significant individual success in leading successful sales teams in penetrating new markets in both Europe and Australia. Sam has had a keen interest in boating since young and has experienced at first hand many of the anxieties that can be caused by either boat ownership or rental. He firmly believes Nautical ID will play a major part in providing peace of mind to boat owners and looks forward to taking the company into the wider boating world.
Neil Ankers qualified as an accountant with Arthur Andersen & Co. After a short spell within the profession left to work alongside NM Rothschild, and others in the corporate reconstruction of commercial property assets. He has held a number of directorships within the quoted sector and is currently a stakeholder in two operational businesses, one in tunnelling the other in the remediation of contaminated land.
Joe Reid has been in the maritime industry for nearly a decade. He holds a Chief Mate
Kalle is an experienced broker with a background in finance and sales. He has lived near the sea his whole life and fell in love with sailing when he was 12 years old. Kalle saw first hand the accountability and safety issues that boatowners face, and founded Nautical ID with the vision of making boat life easier for everyone.
Christian has a background in building businesses and construction. He has always loved to be on and by the ocean and has a vast knowledge of boats. Christian founded Nautical ID with his business partner Kalle Ekstrand, in order to simplify boat life for sailors and boat-owners alike.
